This is a really useless and snarky post. I get it that you want to be environmental, but you're not thinking clearly.
The shortage is WORSE outside the city limits where everyone drives cars all the time, and doesn't have access to public transportation like those within the city.
And even green people need to use gas. I got charged $50 for returning a zipcar with less than a 1/4 tank because there was no gas anywhere I went in my little 2-hour trip.
