Gharials : Endangered Species

With only 200 breeding adults left in the species of a species of Crocodiles found in India called Gharials, are now an endangered species. Latest in news is mass death of 16 Gharials in Chambal wildlife sanctuary. Reason for deaths is being investigated. Wild Life.
Found mostly in India and Nepal, existence of Gharials is under threat because of reducing natural habitat, construction of dams and canals. 2007 Red List of Threatened Species released by the World Conservation Union reveals that other endangered species are The Western Gorilla, Redheaded Vulture, Yangtze river's Dolphin Whistle.
