Welcome To PPP

The wait is finally over and here I am welcoming myself to PPP. Over a month back I applied to PPP for blog approval and got rejected. My blog was less than 90 days old. First thing I did after the blog completed its 90 days was to apply for PPP and it appeared that the first thing PPP folks did was to approve my blog. Saw the approval this morning and started out on what is going to be a long journey together with PPP. Many things come to my mind when I have taken this first opportunity to get paid to write a post on my blog.

An individual is empowered - Remember reading about what was considered the biggest achievement of humanity in the last millennium. Many proposals were considered and voted for, transistors, condoms among others But finally the one thing that stood out and was agreed upon was the fact that an individual is much more empowered that he ever was. And that this very fact is the biggest achievement of humanity in the last millennium. Internet, blogging and institutions like PPP make it possible for an individual to reach out to the world, present his ideas, get feedback and create value, at the speed of thought.

Ethical side of paid Posts - This is what I think. I place adsense on my blog. Someone visits my blog, notices the adsense ad and clicks on it. The ad appeared on my blog, am I not endorsing/approving the product in a little way already. Products are a result of innovation, of someone's idea of how to propagate value to the customer by the product. If I'm going to write about a product, with a disclaimer at the bottom that this is a paid post, this would be just a different type of adsense ad, it's location is changed, instead of the sidebar it appears on the post area. I'm aware of the product and what value it presents compared to not being aware of the product in the case of adsense. I think the disclaimer at the bottom of the post, says it all, This is a sponsored post.

Billion more Coming - There are billion more people going to cross over the digital divide in coming years. Web2.0 Web3.0 ... all the .0's are going to happen and it feels great to be part of this revolution. What is being written here, what others millions are writing, creating, sharing, is the very essence of this digital world. Heard that Google is going to move the blog search button to the front page, along with Images, News etc. Let there be more traffic, more blogs and more PPP.

One thing I do like about Pay Per Post is that you can choose what you want to write about. If you don't like something or disagree with what is being promoted, then you don't have to take the opportunity.
