There have been a famous urban legend similar to this story but there are reports to suggest a few real cases as well. One was back in 2000 Virginia mom Elizabeth Renee Otte, was charged with involuntary manslaughter, infanticide by microwave. Second case was reported in November 2006 when Ohio woman China Arnold, 26 was charged with death of her one month old daughter with microwave. Third case seems to be the latest, Sharlyn Singh 29 from Florida faces charges of putting her 11 year old baby in an oven. Oven was not hot enough to burn the child.
