Liz Murray : An Inspiration

Liz was born in the Bronx, NYC to poor, drug-addicted who spent there welfare checks on cocaine. At 10 she came to know of her mother having AIDS. Her mother died when she was 15 and her father moved to a homeless shelter, Liz found herself alone on the streets. Despite these hardships life had presented to her she did not lose hope and continues to finish high school in next two years. She won The New York Times Scholarship and later attended Harvard. Lately she has signed a book contract with Hyperion and started a career as motivational speaker. 2003 Emmy nominated movie "Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story", was based on her life story.
