Donda West, mother of Kanye West and former chairwoman of Chicago State University's English department, passed away on Saturday at 58. She was chairperson of Kayne West Foundation, as educational nonprofit organization and chief executive of West Brands, parent company of Kayne's buisiness. She had recently published a book called "Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star."
