Real life meets the reel life. American gangster Franc Lucas shares his real gangster life story in The Wire. The Wire is based on "Little Melvin", an extremely high I.Q. individual from Baltimore, who never used his prowess for any good. Reportedly he is the man who brought heroine to Baltimore.
The T drama has been written by author and former Police reporter, David Simon. Fifthe season is expected to be aired in January, 2008.
