Simple Carbs, Complex Carbs

Carbohydrates (Carbs) are one of the three main ingredients in a diet, other two are protein and fat. Carbs provide the most amount of "fuel" energy needed to do work. Depending on their chemical structure they are classified as simple or complex. Simple carbs are easier to digest, example foods are fruits, fruit juices, honey, milk, sugar etc. Complex carbs are not as easy to digest example foods are vegetables, cereals, bread, legumes etc.
