Hotel across the 26 year old, Sands casino in Atlantic city went to court to try and stop the implosion proceeding, fearing asbestos to be released in air when the 21 story building comes down. The demolition will make way for another grand casino which will be built by Pinnacle entertainment, to be completed by 2011-12 time frame with project cost of $1.5-$2 billion.
Implosion proceeding will be shown live on NBC 40 at 9.25p.m.
