Kiari malformations are structural defects charactriazed by herniation in the lower Cerebellum area. Hernia develops in the large opening in the base of the skull (foramen magnum) into the spinal canal. this blocks the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This fluid protects the brain and spinal cord. This could lead to a range of symptoms including dizziness, muscle weakness, vision problems, headache, and problems with muscle balance and coordination. The defect is categorized into three types based on its severity.
